Fall and Winter 2009

From Olvera Street
Another from Olvera Street

Bella wearing her prize from the .25c prize machine!

At the musuem, with a T-rex and triceratops.

Alex lost his first tooth! Finally, the adult tooth was coming in behind it.

The boys are back to school, Bella is just biting at the chance to go to preschool and mom and dad are enjoying the relaxing fall/winter.

We've managed to take a few day trips this fall, one to Olvera Street, which we took the metro train, even though Jose thought it closer to drive, lol. This Christmas break we took the kids to the natural history museum, where we had a blast. Alex really wanted to go here as he was very interested in seeing a T-rex in "real life". Little did we know, he had an ulterior motive. When we saw the T-rex and read where it was found (Montana, US), he was beyond thrilled! He kept saying, "see, I knew he was my brother"!!! You could not convince him otherwise, so somewhere on our family tree, there was a T-rex, hahahaha.

We are looking forward to a wonderful and happy 2010.

Update for Jun

Mike with Jose's family (sister and Aunt)
Mike on the jumbo tron at the Rose Bowl! What a site!

June has been a great month so far. Michael graduate from High School! Oh what fun and we are so proud of him. I cannot believe I am the mom of a HS graduate who will be starting college in the fall. How did this happen.

This occassion was especially important as Mike is the first in the Kingston line on my dad's side to have graduated. (Dad's brother Bill did, but not my dad, his dad, my brother.....so on.) I feel like Mike has perhaps broken the cycle.

We are also looking forward to going on a trip to Vegas! I have to attend a conference outside of Vegas at this beautiful resort and the family is coming with me. They will be able to enjoy the pool and grounds (while mommy is stuck in class, lol)

Jose's tia (and Godmother), flew out to be with us on the joyous occassion. We are so happy to have her with us for fun!

Update for May

Sadly on May 4th Jose's dad, Joe, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. My poor husband lost both of his parents within 4 months of eachother. We are heartbroken.

That was a very difficult month for all of us.

April Update

Since it has been so long since my last update I think I will update by the month.

April we celebrated 2 birthdays! Jose turned 40 and we had a huge rocking party for him. It was so much fun. Unfortunately I dont have pictures, our camera died and I can get the images out of it. I celebrated a birthday too, but I let you guess what year! LOL.

At work I was swamped with proposals thanks to Obama and his stimulus package! I was working 7 days a week 10 hours a day. It was crazy and I am so glad that is over.

Now on Face book

You can now find me on face book. I am on there pretty regularly.

You can find me by my name Debbie Kingston Navarrete.

I will try to update the blogger once I have a computer at home, hopefully soon!

Mike's senior portrait

I cannot believe he's going to graduate this June, it is mindblowing to me. Where did the time go? How is it possible I am old enough to have a kid graduating and going to college (yes, I am making this about me!).

He looks so handsome in this picture, its one of my all time favorites.
